Tulsa at Tulane – 1/4/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Tulsa Golden Hurricane and Tulane Green Wave face off on Wednesday in a college basketball showdown at the Devlin Fieldhouse. When these two teams faced off in January of last year it was Tulane that was able to secure the 97-63 victory. Tulane has won the last three games. 

Tulsa comes into this game with a 4-9 record overall and they have gone 0-4 away from home. In the last game against SMU, Tulsa really struggled giving up 92 points and they lost in blowout fashion. The offense isn’t good, but the defense has been even worse. Guard Sam Griffin has been the top player averaging 15 points while shooting 38.4 percent from the field and 34 percent from behind the three point line. 

On the other side of this matchup is Tulane who sits with an 8-5 record and they have gone 3-8 against the spread. In the last game against Memphis the offense scored 96 points and that led to the blowout victory. Sion James was the top player for Tulane putting up 30 points, seven assists, and six rebounds. Tulane is averaging 79.8 points while their defense is giving up 72.7 points per game. The offense is ranked 39th while the defense is ranked 274th. Guard Jaylen Forbes is averaging 17.4 points while shooting 42.5 percent from the field and 30 percent from behind the three point line.
