Tulsa at Mississippi odds, picks, and predictions

The Tulsa Golden Hurricanes (2-1) travel to The Grove in Oxford to have an offensive battle with the Mississippi Rebels (3-0) Saturday at 4 p.m. ET. (SEC Network). Below, we analyze Tipico Sportsbook’s lines around the Tulsa vs.' Mississippi odds, and make our expert college football picks and predictions.

Ole Miss comes into this matchup after handling Georgia Tech on the road last Saturday 42-0. The offense of Lane Kiffin and the Rebels is right where we expected it to be early in the season. Even with QB Matt Corral departing, the transfer in of Jaxson Dart from USC meant the position would not take a step back. Thus far, the defense has taken a step forward this season, which will become even more important when they start SEC play next week.

Tulsa also handled business last Saturday in a 54-17 throttling of Jacksonville State. QB Davis Brin leads the country in passing yards (1,206) and passing TD (11). The Tulsa offense has not faced a defense the caliber of Ole Miss yet. Nor has the Ole Miss defense faced an offense this good. It will be an interesting chess match to see which unit comes out on top in Oxford.

Ole Miss is No. 13 in the AFCA Coaches Poll powered by USA TODAY Sports.
