It’s been an exciting college football bowl season already, not that we expected anything less in the Tuley’s Takes home office.
Through the games of Tuesday, Dec. 19 (with no games on Wednesday, Dec. 20), bowl favorites were 5-3 straight-up and 4-3-1 ATS while Overs held 5-3 lead, but we got off to a 2-1 ATS start with our underdog Best Bets in these weekly “Tuley’s Takes” columns, as we had both winners pull outright upsets with Ohio (+3.5) routing Georgia Southern 41-21 in the Myrtle Beach Bowl and Western Kentucky (+2.5) rallying to beat Old Dominion 38-25 in OT of Famous Toastery Bowl, while losing with Boise State (+4.5) in 35-22 loss vs. UCLA in the LA Bowl (full disclosure: did lose our lone Over/Under bet with the Ohio-Georgia Southern Under 49).
Including the regular season, our CFB Best Bets are 30-25-2 ATS (54.5%) for a net profit of 2.5 units based on laying the standard -110.
Let’s get to this next week of bowl games (Friday through next Wednesday, Dec. 27), then we’ll return next Thursday with the rest of the bowl through Jan. 1, including an update of our picks in the CFB Playoff!
