Two teams riding winning streaks are set to put them on the line, with the #1 Houston Cougars (25-2, 16-11-0 ATS, 13-1 American) welcoming the Tulane Green Wave (17-7, 12-12-0 ATS, 10-3 American) to Texas. Houston already played in Tulane this season, leaving New Orleans with a 20-point win, their eighth straight in the series. The Cougars easily covered as 10.5-point favorites on the road in that one. The performance helped him earn AAC Player of the Week honors. He's scored at least 20 in all six games since facing Houston the first time. Cook is 23rd in the nation scoring 20.1 points per game and 33rd with 5.2 assists per game.
The G reen Wave play at an insane pace, and it leads to an American Conference-leading 82.3 points per game, the 11th-most nationally. As a team, they shoot 47.0%, which is 48th in the country. Their three-point shooting isn't quite as elite, at 33.5%. However, their free-throw shooting is fourth nationally at 79.8%.
