The 2022-23 NBA season continues with a nine-game Wednesday slate including the cross-conference showdown from Vivint Arena in Salt Lake City, Utah, where the Toronto Raptors square off against the Utah Jazz.
Toronto and Utah lock horns for the first time this season. The Jazz open as 3.5-point home favorites with a total of 231.5 points. Utah is without Micah Potter (elbow), while Toronto misses OG Anunoby (wrist) and Otto Porter (foot).

The Raptors handed out 19 assists and committed 14 turnovers while shooting 44.9% from the field (9-for-33 from deep). Fred VanVleet had 24 points and nine assists, and Precious Achiuwa added an 11-point, 12-rebound double-double.
“We were playing really hard, really well,” Raptors coach Nick Nurse said. “We could have down a few things and shored up the rebounding, but it didn’t really bounce our way when it needed to.”

Toronto boasts the best turnover percentage in the NBA (10.4%). The Raptors are tenth in adjusted offensive efficiency (115.3 points per 100 possessions) despite making just 45.3% of their field goals (tied-27th) and 33.3% of their 3-pointers (28th). They allow 114.8 points per 100 possessions (19th) on 56.9% shooting from inside the arc (tied-27th) and 37.4% from downtown (29th).
