Toronto Raptors (22-27) vs. Portland Trail Blazers (23-25)

The 2022-23 NBA season goes on Saturday, January 28, with the Toronto Raptors taking on the Portland Trail Blazers in the cross-conference showdown at Moda Center in Portland, Oregon, and the tip-off is set for 10:00 PM ET.

Toronto and Portland wrap up their two-game regular-season set. Back on January 8, the Raptors beat the Trail Blazers 117-105 as 3-point home favorites with a total of 226.5 points.

Friday’s games have been excluded from the analysis, and the 22-27 Toronto Raptors visited the Golden State Warriors, searching for their third straight victory. Last Sunday, the Raptors finished a two-game homestand with a 125-116 victory against the New York Knicks. Two days later, they started a seven-game road trip with a 113-95 thrashing of the Sacramento Kings.

The Raptors outscored the Kings 58-42 in the paint. Toronto posted a strong 28/10 assist-to-turnover ratio while forcing Sacramento into 19 turnovers. Pascal Siakam led the way for the Raptors with 26 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists, Fred VanVleet notched 17 points, five assists, and four steals, and Precious Achiuwa had 19 points and five rebounds.

Toronto was the No. 12 seed in the Eastern Conference on Friday. The Raptors ranked tenth in the league in adjusted offensive efficiency (115.0 points per 100 possessions) and 18th in adjusted defensive efficiency (114.4). Their defense was 29th in the NBA in 3-point percentage (37.4%) and 27th in 2-point percentage (56.6%).
