The Toronto Raptors and the Atlanta Hawks duke it out at the State Farm Arena on Saturday night.
The Toronto Raptors have been in decent shape as they’ve split their last eight games and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after taking down the Heat in a 112-104 home win on Wednesday. OG Anunoby led the way with 32 points, 10 rebounds and three assists on 13 of 18 shooting, Fred VanVleet added 23 points with eight assists while Scottie Barnes chipped in with 19 points and six assists. As a team, the Raptors shot 51 percent from the field and seven of 26 from the 3-point line as they struggled to contain the Heat in the first half and trailed by 11 points, but they turned the momentum with a 30-19 third quarter and managed to pull away and escape with the win.
Meanwhile, the Atlanta Hawks have been in good form as they’ve won five of their last eight games overall, but they will be hoping to bounce back after getting routed by the Celtics in a 126-101 loss on Wednesday. Trae Young led the way with 27 points and nine assists, Dejounte Murray added 19 points with five assists while DeAndre Hunter chipped in with 13 points. As a team, the Hawks shot just 41 percent from the field and seven of 32 from the 3-point line as they got off to a sluggish start and fell behind by double-digits early after scoring just 18 points in the first quarter. Things only got worse in the second half where the Celtics poured in 64 points to make it a blowout.
