Toronto Maple Leafs at Carolina Hurricanes – 11/6/22 NHL Picks and Prediction

The Toronto Maple Leafs and Carolina Hurricanes face off on Sunday in an NHL showdown at PNC Arena. The home team has won the last three games played between the two teams.

The Maple Leafs headed into Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins with a 5-4-2 record. On Wednesday the Maple Leafs faced off against the Philadelphia Flyers and the offense scored five goals on the way to the victory. John Tavares had a big game finishing with three goals and one assist. The Maple Leafs are averaging 2.91 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.91 goals per game. The defense has been strong, but the offense hasn’t been good enough and needs to be better here. Tavares is having a big season scoring seven goals and seven assists.

On the other side of this matchup is the Carolina Hurricanes who sit with a 5-2-1 record overall. On Friday the Hurricanes faced off against the Buffalo Sabres and the offense scored five goals on the way to the victory. Jack Quinn finished with two assists. The Hurricanes are averaging 3.27 goals per game while their defense is giving up 2.82 goals per game. The defense is ranked 8th in the NHL and it’s going to be important that the defense steps up here. If the defense struggles it could be a long game.
