George Springer set the table from the leadoff spot in the first win, going 5 for 5 with an RBI and two runs scored. Vladmir Guerrero Jr. hit his 26th home run of the season and drove in a team-best three RBI in the win.

Kevin Gausman (8-9, 3.16 ERA) will start on Friday. On the road, he is 5-3 with a 1.83 ERA in 10 starts. Against the Yankees back on April 14, he allowed two runs in 5 2/3 innings. This past Sunday, Gausman took the loss allowing nine hits and five runs in a 7-2 loss to the Guardians.
Toronto is tied for second in the AL East with Tampa Bay. If the season ended today, the Blue Jays would be in the postseason, but the Twins trail them by just 1.5 games.
