The Toledo Rockets collide (10-5, 7-6 ATS, 12-1 O/U) with the Kent State Golden Flashes (12-3, 10-3 ATS, 3-9 O/U) in a MAC showdown on Tuesday evening. The Rockets clobbered Western Michigan on Friday. The Golden Flashes defeated Miami Ohio on Saturday afternoon. Kent State logged a 2-0 record against Toledo last season.

The Toledo Rockets enter this one as a winner of three out of their last four games. They pummelled Vermont, lost a 90-83 decision to Ball State in the MAC opener, and were huge 15.5-point favorites in a convincing 102-74 home win against Western Michigan on Friday. The Rockets are one of the best teams in the MAC led by a potent offense. Their best win was against UAB earlier in the season. The Rockets have covered in two of their last three games. 

JT Shumate is an elite scorer. The senior forward has netted at least 20 points on nine occasions this season and has delivered an average of 19.1 PPG on a stellar 58% mark from the field. RayJ Dennis is also capable of big points. The junior guard has shot at least 50% in two out of his last three performances and has registered an average of 18.6 PPG and 5.9 APG. Setric Millner Jr. scored 17 points in F riday’s victory. The senior forward is posting 14.7 PPG and 6.5 RPG.

The Rockets are ranked 103rd in DI in Ken Pomeroy’s ratings which is solid for a mid-major squad. Toledo is 2-2 on the road including a loss to George Mason. Toledo has eclipsed 80 points in eight out of their last ten games and is averaging 86 points on the season, good for fifth. They are conceding an average of 79.8 points, placing them 356th.
