The Toledo Rockets stumbled in their season opener this season but have since reeled off nine straight wins including a 49-23 win over Eastern Michigan. The win streak is the longest in forty years for the school and helped the team finish a perfect 6-0 at home this season. The win also clinches a spot in the MAC Championship game in November.

“I'm obviously very proud of our football team,” said Head Coach Jason Candle. “We were very resilient tonight and played very sound complementary football and were very efficient in all three phases of the game. It's been a tough week for us because we have guys who are out with injuries and some who have been sick and in and out of practice. It's a credit to our senior class that went undefeated in the Glass Bowl this season.”

Toledo scored in all five of its first half possessions and took a 35-3 lead into intermission and never looked back. Quarterback Dequan Finn finished 23-of-27 through the air for a season-high 407 yards with three touchdown passes. Wide receiver Jerjuan Newton also had a big night with a season-high six catches for 108 yards. Overall, Toledo finished with 508 yards of total offense.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Rockets held Eastern Michigan to just 255 yards of total offense in the victory. Maxen Hook led the team with eight tackles and cornerback Quinyon Mitchell had an interception in the one-sided victory.

Toledo comes into this contest with one of the best offenses in the country. The Rockets are 31st in total offense on the season. They are fifth in the country rushing the football and 85th through the air. The Rockets are also tough to handle on third down, 25th in the country in converting on third down. The Rockets defense has not been shabby either this season. They are 30th in total defense thus far. The Rockets are 64th against the run and 11th against the pass. On third down, the Rockets are 54th in preventing teams from converting them into first downs.

Toledo plays fast and, occasionally, loosely as well. They 87th in the country in turnover differential. Toledo makes its fair share of mental mistakes as well. The Rockets are ranked 109 in penalties per game.

Key Injuries: No injuries to report.
