Toledo at Ohio – 12/3/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Toledo Rockets and Ohio Bobcats face off on Saturday in the MAC championship game at Ford Field in Detroit. This will be the first meeting between the two teams this season.

Toledo comes into this game with a 7-5 record and they have gone 4-8 against the spread. In the last game against Western Michigan, the offense could only manage 14 points, and that led to the six-point defeat. Two games ago against Bowling Green, they were defeated 42-35. Toledo is averaging 33.3 points while their defense is giving up 27.1 points per game. The offense is ranked 35th in college football, and they need to find a way to get the offense going here. The big question heading into this game is the status of starting quarterback Dequan Finn who is dealing with an ankle injury. If he can’t go it’s going to be Tucker Gleason that is going to get the start.

On the other side of this matchup is Ohio who sits with a 9-3 record and they have gone 9-3 against the spread. In the last game against Bowling Green, the offense put 38 points, and it was a blowout victory. Quarterback CJ Harris completed 10 of his 21 passes for 196 yards, one touchdown, and zero interceptions. Starting quarterback Kurtis Rourke is dealing with a knee injury and is out of the season. Harris has done a good job of filling in for Rourke. Ohio is averaging 34 points while their defense is giving up 29.3 points per game.
