There are 4 games on tonight's NHL slate highlighted by two nationally televised games. Airing on TNT and streaming on MAX will be the Sabres visiting the Flyers at 7PM ET followed by the Blues visiting the Avalanche at 9:30PM ET. Mix in Stars-Flames and Coyotes-Ducks and all of a sudden this is a not a bad Wednesday night before a huge 12-game slate on Thurs day. Hopefully after dinner, you can enjoy the rest of the night watching these 8 teams battle.

You can also find out our NHL predictions for today’s slate, but for now, let’s dive into our best NHL prop bets.

Jamie Benn over 0.5 points (-105)

The Stars have played the least number of games in the NHL entering tonight. But at 5-1-1, they have the league's 3rd best point percentage. Dallas has plain gotten the job done early on and they get a favorable matchup tonight. The Flames are 2-6-1 with the NHL's second lowest point percentage and have allowed the 5th most goals per game. The Stars have a good opportunity to feast against this Flames team. If they do, look for Jamie Benn to be in the mix offensively.

Jamie Benn has 6 points in 7 games which is good for T-2 on the team. Despite nearly a point per game average, he nearly has plus money odds to tally a point. Odds of -105 are solid value for a seasoned veteran on the 2nd line and top power play to log a point, especially against a spiraling team. The Stars should run up the score tonight and don't be surprised to see Benn be a contributor.

Mikko Rantanen anytime goal scorer (-135)

The Avalanche spent last season riddled with injuries and ultimately got bounced in the first round of the playoffs. But this season, they look healthy and fully back. A big reason for their 6-2-0 record and 3.38 goals scored per game average is Mikko Rantanen. Rantanen's 55 goals and 105 points last year were career highs by far. He seems to be picking up right where he left off as he has 5 goals and 12 points through 8 games.

In 4 games against the Blues last season, Rantanen logged 5 goals and 8 points. The Blues were abysmal on the defensive side of the puck last year. They looked to have made improvements early on. But when they lose, they lose big. In their 3 regulation losses, the Blues have allowed a total of 15 goals for an average of 5 goals allowed per game. Colorado is plain the better team in this game. They should be able to take care of business and if they do, Rantanen has a good chance to pad his numbers in a route.
