Today's Best NHL Player Props & Odds: William Nylander Keeps Shooting

While much of the country's sporting attention will be focused on college football today, we still have a healthy slate of NHL games at our disposal. After suffering my first loss of the season in my last NHL player prop article, I'm still sitting at a solid 5-1 mark for the year.'

I'm back with a couple more selections today that I really like for Saturday’s 8-game slate. Don't forget to check out our NHL picks for today for more information on the matchups.

William Nylander (TOR) over 3.5 shots on goal (-134)

The first player I want to target today is William Nylander of the Maple Leafs. While the Leafs lost to the lowly Blackhawks on Friday, it was actually Nylander's first game without at least 1 point this season. He still shot the puck, however, taking 3 shots on goal. That took his shots total to 38 in November, including 4 separate contests with at least 5 shots on goal.

If Toronto plans on getting back in the win column today, Nylander should be a big part of the offensive gameplan. It should help that the Leafs will be facing a Penguins defense that allows 30.9 shots on goal per game, positioning them 19th in the league in that category. Add in the fact that Nylander is 7th in the NHL in total shots on goal, and I like him to be shooting early and often today.

JT Miller (VAN) over 1.5 points (+170)
