Today's Best NHL Player Props & Odds Nikita Kucherov sinks the Sharks

After Tuesday night's Frozen Frenzy where we saw all 32 teams in action with 102 goals scored by 93 different skaters, we had a bit of a chill night last night with just the lone game on the ice. We don't have to wait long for things to get going once again, as tonight features 24 teams lacing up their skates. That's plenty of games to break down, but we've done just that and com e up with our favorites spots in terms of player props.

Along with our best NHL player props, be sure to check out all of our NHL picks for today's action.

Nikita Kucherov over 1.5 points (+100)

The Tampa Bay Lightning haven't gotten off to the best start for a team that's been to three of the last four Stanley Cup Finals, but they're coming off an impressive shutout win over the Carolina Hurricanes. Now, they get to remain at home to take on a San Jose Sharks team that is 0-5-1 to start the season. That's great news for the Lightning as a whole, so of course that means we're anticipating a strong night from the former-MVP, Nikita Kucherov.

Even when he's facing the league's best competition, Kucherov is a stud, so there's no reason not to expect more of the same. He began the year with back-to-back multi-point games, and he's done the same in each of Tampa's most recent two matchups. Three of those four contests also came at home, so that also supports our play. The primary reason for San Jose's struggles last season was goaltending, and it hasn't improved so far this year. After allowing the 3rd-most goals per game in 2022/23, they're allowing the 6th-most so far this season. Therefore, it's no surprise that Kucherov has had multiple points in 2 of his last 3 games against the Sharks. With that in mind, we expect another game with a similar box score.''
