Title Odds Reflecting Increased Expectations For This Western Conference Team

The 2022-23 NBA season is full of potential winners, including the Denver Nuggets

If you look at last year's NBA standings, it's a great reminder to the parody that's suddenly engulfed the NBA landscape. Sure, Golden State won another title, but this was not the 73-win Warriors from a few years ago.

Last season, ten teams won at least 43 games in the East, while the West had eight. Heading into the 2022-23 season, BetMGM has 18 teams with win totals of at least 42.5, signaling the potential for another spread-out, hard-to-handicap year.

We have a strong idea who can at least compete for an NBA title, but when you start to look at the odds, there's quite a few teams you could justify actually winning the whole thing.

Add that with the fact that there could be a couple of teams taking that next step from just a playoff team to a contender, and the NBA will be ripe with unpredictability this fall.
