NBA Same Game Parlay

Chicago Bulls at Charlotte Hornets

    • Leg 1: Zach LaVine OVER 4.5 rebounds (+118)
    • Leg 2: Zach LaVine OVER 4.5 assists (+122)
    • Leg 3: DeMar DeRozan OVER 27.5 points (-104)

Starting off with a bang, I'm expecting the Bulls to thrive tonight in Charlotte.

Facing off against the 27th-ranked defense is a good way to tally up assists and points. I'm picking LaVine and DeRozan for a semi-correlated play with some incredible value. With two Charlotte players currently questionable, their defense might have more holes than Swiss cheese.

In a mini pace-up spot against such a spotty defense, I am shocked at how valuable these odds are. LaVine's rebounds and assists averages have been at or above what the props project for him tonight. In a plus matchup at plus odds, I'm all over that, betting a single unit on this same-game parlay.

NBA Game Picks

Cleveland Cavaliers @ Houston Rockets'

The (likely) absence of Donovan Mitchell is worrisome for the Cavs, but they’re still more than capable of thwarting the lowly Rockets. Houston rates near the basement in the NBA in every advanced stat (538, Net Rating, Adjusted Net Rating, Hollinger Stats, etc.) and will have the disadvantage of playing the tail-end of a back-to-back following a contentious bout with the Wizards. The Rockets are playing their worst basketball posting a 2-18 record (4-16 ATS) over their past 20 games.

More on the Cavs: it’s never easy with your best player not in the lineup, but they have the depth to make up for it. Cleveland still employs several high-quality players and should have the advantage regardless of the five on the court. Admittedly, Cleveland has not been great on the road this season (9-15 SU, 8-15-1 ATS), but this is an opportune time to back them to buck this trend.

Bet: Cavaliers -8 (-110)

First Basket Scorer

Detroit Pistons vs. Brooklyn Nets

The Nets have only won the tip 40% of the time. However, Brooklyn has also scored the first basket 62% of the time. The defense early in games for the Nets has been premier.

Meanwhile, the Pistons have only won 37% of the tip and have scored the first basket just 35% of the time.

Nic Claxton has only attempted the first basket twice this season but has seven made first baskets. Royce O’Neale has eight first-basket attempts but only connected on two. The Nets have had a lot of inconsistency, especially with Kevin Durant still out. But the best option will still be Kyrie Irving, who has nailed six first baskets while attempting four first shots.

Bet: Kyrie Irving (+460)

NBA Prop Bets

Jarrett Allen Over 8.5 Rebounds (-110 DraftKings)

The Houston Rockets are struggling this season. They are 11-36 and are not getting any better. Their players are young and still getting an understanding of the game. That means opposing teams have an advantage in scoring, rebounding, and passing.

The player to watch tonight is Jarrett Allen. He is one of the best rebounders in the NBA and has been consistent since he entered the NBA. He averages 9.7 rebounds per game, and that number will be higher tonight because of the matchup.
