Texas Tech lost three of the most important categories against Villanova according to coaches. Tech had more turnovers, less rebounds, and shot worse from the free throw line. It is very difficult to win in basketball when you lose all three of those categories. The Red Raiders were led by guard Pop Isaacs with 16 points in the loss.

Pop Isaacs is a 6'2 guard who leads the Red Raiders in scoring with 12.8 PPG, and has the most assists with 3.3 per game. Isaacs is also the top shooter, he has eight made threes on the year. Joe Toussaint also starts in the backcourt and averages 12.3 PPG. Warren Washington is an important piece inside, he is a 7'0 transfer from Arizona State and is the anchor of their defense. Washington averages 8.8 PPG and 8.3 RPG and has six blocked shots on the year.

Texas Tech is currently ranked 55th overall by KenPom. Their offense ranks 135th in efficiency, but their defense is much better ranking 13th in the nation. Tech's tempo ranks 183rd in the country.
