The 2022-23 NCAA men’s basketball season goes on Tuesday, February 28, with the Texas Tech Red Raiders facing off against the Kansas Jayhawks in the Big 12 Conference showdown at Allen Fieldhouse in Lawrence, Kansas.
The Red Raiders and Jayhawks wrap up their two-game regular-season set, and Kansas opens as a 10-point home fave with a total of 146.0 points. Back in January, the Jayhawks outlasted the Red Raiders 75-72 as 1-point road favorites, and the game went over a 141-point line.
The Texas Tech Red Raiders (16-13; 13-15-1 ATS; 5-11 conf.) are coming off Saturday’s 83-82 home loss against No. 24 TCU. After four straight wins over No. 12 Kansas State 71-63, No. 6 Texas 74-67, West Virginia 78-72, and Oklahoma 74-63, the Red Raiders trailed the Horned Frogs for most of the game, nearly overcoming a double-digit second-half deficit.
Texas Tech made 50.0% of its field goals against TCU. The Red Raiders went 7-for-20 from downtown and 15-for-21 from the charity stripe while posting a 13/12 assist-to-turnover ratio. Junior forward Fardaws Aimaq led the way for Texas Tech with 19 points, six rebounds, and a pair of assists, senior forward Kevin Obanor notched 17 points and nine rebounds, and senior guard De’Vion Harmon added 18 points and five assists.

The Red Raiders are now tied with West Virginia for the No. 8 seed in the Big 12 Conference. They score 68.6 points per game in the conference play (7th in the Big 12) on 43.5% shooting from the field (also 7th) while yielding 73.5 points in return (also 7th) on 44.0% shooting from the field (4th). Texas Tech is No. 51 in the KenPom rankings and No. 54 in the NCAA NET Rankings.
