Texas State defeated the Marshall Thundering Herd 71-68 in their quarterfinals matchup on Saturday. The Bobcats were led by Mason Harrell with 17 points. The second seeded Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns defeated Georgia Southern 67-49 in a display of tough defense. The leading scorer for Louisiana was Jordan Brown with 16 points. Louisiana held Georgia Southern to 32.7% shooting. Texas State and Louisiana do not have any players listed on their injury reports.

Texas State entered the Sun Belt tournament as the 11th seed and has won three times, opening with a victory over Georgia State followed by a win over Old Dominion and eliminating the No. 3 seed Marshall on Saturday.
