Texas Rangers vs. Seattle Mariners Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 7-27-2022

The Seattle Mariners hope to continue their run of domination against the visiting Texas Rangers in Wednesday’s AL West showdown. Even after getting swept by the Houston Astros, the Mariners have bounced back and immediately found their footing against the struggling Rangers. Marco Gonzales is slated to toe the rubber as the starting pitcher for the Mariners in this game opposite of Rangers’ righty Jon Gray.

Jon Gray is throwing fire on the mound.

He has received a victory nod in his last three starts against the Miami Marlins, Oakland Athletics and Minnesota Twins. But his recent run of dominance goes even further than that when taking into consideration he’s won six of his last seven starts.

This could finally be the game for the Rangers to turn the tables on the Mariners at T-Mobile Park. Gray is throwing a 3.48 ERA with a 7-4 record on the season as a whole and a 2.25 ERA and 3-1 record in the month of July. It’s smelling like barbeque on the mound for Texas, and Gray might be the one doing the cooking on Wednesday afternoon.

The Rangers’ batting lineup faces a tall task at the plate against one of the best defensive teams in the league, but they have had Marco Gonzales’ number in previous games. If they can make this another rough outing for Se attle’s starting pitcher, they’ll have a great shot at stealing a road victory in this one.
