Texas Rangers vs. Los Angeles Angels Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 10-2-2022

Two division rivals coming to the close of another disappointing season will meet on Sunday when the Los Angeles Angels (71-86) host the Texas Rangers (66-90). The Angels won the series opener on Friday 4-1, and Saturday's contest was not complete at the time of this preview. Texas is 10-7 against the Angels this season.

The Rangers organization has alot of issues to address this offseason, as Texas is coming to the end of their sixth consecutive losing season. Texas went into Saturday on a three-game losing streak and with losses in six of their last seven games.

During the year, Texas has had some positive offensively ranking 11th in MLB scoring 4.4 runs per game, ranking ninth with 192 home runs, and first with 126 stolen bases. Texas has four players who have hit over 25 home runs this season. Corey Seager leads the team with 32 home runs, and Adolis Garcia leads the way with 98 RBI and 25 stolen bases.  The pitching has not fared as well ranking 22nd with a 4.22 ERA and 22nd with 48 quality starts. Texas had not yet named as a starter at the time of this preview. The bullpen has been much better than the starts, ranking 12th with a solid 3.73 ERA.
