Texas A&M vs. Ole Miss Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 2-28-2023

It's senior night in Oxford when the #24 Texas A&M Aggies (21-8, 19-10 ATS, 13-3 SEC) travel to take on the Ole Miss Rebels (11-18, 10-17-2 ATS, 3-13 SEC). Texas A&M just lost on the road to Mississippi State 69-62, failing to cover the 2-point spread as dogs. Ole Miss just won a home game 82-69 over LSU, easily covering the 4-point spread as favorites. This is the only matchup this season between the SEC opponents. Tipoff is scheduled for 9:00 ET and can be found on ESPNU.

The Aggies got hot just at the right time of the season, they won six straight conference games and beat some strong teams in Tennessee, Auburn and Arkansas in the stretch. They finally lost a game in their previous matchup against Mississippi State. In that game the Aggies were led by guard Wade Taylor IV with 21 points in the loss.

Wade Taylor IV is a 6'0 sophomore guard who leads the Aggies in scoring with 16.1 PPG, which is 6th in the SEC. He also leads the team in assists with 4.1 per game, and in made threes with 68 makes on the season. He has been hot lately, as he has scored 21 or more in his last three games. Tyrece Radford is another scoring guard, at 6'2 he is second on the team in scoring with 13.0 PPG and adds 5.3 RPG. Radford struggled in the loss to Miss St, he only scored 4 points on 0-5 shooting in 30 minutes. Henry Coleman III is their top post player, he averages 9.7 PPG and 5.6 RPG as a 6'8 245 pound junior.

Texas A&M ranks 25th overall by KenPom, which is 5th best in the SEC. The Aggies rank 25th in adjusted offensive efficiency and 52nd in defensive efficiency. Texas A&M is currently projected to be a 6-seed by Joe Lunardi in his Bracketology.
