Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State Prediction, Pick & Odds: Texas Bowl 2023iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

The 2023 Texas Bowl pits two local programs in the Texas A&M Aggies and Oklahoma State Cowboys against each other on Wednesday, and we have you covered with our best Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State prediction based on the leading college football odds from our best sports betting apps.

Neither the Texas A&M Aggies (7-5) nor the Oklahoma State Cowboys (9-4) boasted exactly the type of season they may have hoped for in 2023. They'll each have a chance to end it on a high note Wednesday in this year's Texas Bowl in nearby Houston.

Texas A&M experienced a forgettable campaign, dismissing head coach Jimbo Fisher 10 games into an eventual 7-5 season. Interim coach Elijah Robinson won his debut but saw his team blow a fourth-quarter lead in a 42-30 loss to LSU in the season finale.

Conversely, Oklahoma State fought through a 2-2 start to win seven of it s final nine games and secure a spot in the 2023 Texas Bowl. That said, the Cowboys performed poorly in their losses, falling by an average of 25.8 points in those four defeats.

As part of our look at all college bowl game odds, here is our best Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State prediction and our college football picks for Wednesday's Texas Bowl (odds via our best college football betting sites; Pick confidence is based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State prediction: Texas Bowl

The most significant news during the run-up to the Texas Bowl is that Doak Walker Award winner Ollie Gordon II will play for the Cowboys. Gordon II has run for 1,614 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2023. He's run for over 100 yards in eight of his last 10 games, and over 270 yards twice.

The Aggies do boast one of the best run defenses in college football. They're allowing just 108.1 yards per game, the 16th-best mark in the country. However, Fadil Diggs and Walter Nolen, the two leading tacklers on the defensive line, will both be out for this game.

The Cowboys trot out one of the worst pass defenses in the nation. However, Jaylen Henderson and the Aggies don't possess the offensive weaponry to take advantage of the weak secondary. Look for the Cowboys, the team with fewer players opting out and more to play for, to run th e ball effectively, control the clock, and pull off the small upset.

Texas A&M vs. Oklahoma State odds analysis

The Aggies opened as 4.5-point favorites. But with money pouring in for the Cowboys, the spread has dropped to as low as 1.5 at some of the best sports betting sites. The Cowboys are seeing some love because their key players plan on playing in this game. Don't be surprised if the Cowboys end up favorites with Gordon suiting up.

The total opened at 52.5, and while it's stayed there at some of the best live betting sites, it's gone up to 53.5 at others. Though 71% of bettors are backing the over, it seems likely the number will continue to climb before Wednesday's game. This one could get over the 55 mark.
