The Mississippi State Bulldogs (18-10) will host the Texas A&M Aggies (21-7) on Saturday in a SEC showdown. Both of these teams are currently in position to reach the NCAA Tournament this season, but neither team should feel too comfortable about where they are.
Texas A&M is on a six-game winning streak after beating Tennessee 68-63 on Tuesday. The Aggies are 13-2 in the SEC, good for second place, one game behind Alabama, and three games ahead of Kentucky. As strong as the season has been, the Aggies are still fighting for respect. ESPN's Joe Lunardi currently has A&M as a No. 6 seed in the NCAA Tournament if the season ended today, but many Texas A&M fans have to believe this team has top-4 seed potential.
