Texas A&M at Mississippi State – 2/25/23 College Basketball Picks and Prediction

The Texas A&M Aggies will head up to Starkville to meet the Mississippi State Bulldogs in SEC play from the Humphrey Coliseum. Texas A&M holds a slim series lead of, 9-8, after winning by three at home last season.

Texas A&M improved to 21-7 after beating Tennessee at home. The Aggies pulled away from the Vols late, and picked up a five-point victory, 68-63. Texas A&M is scoring 74.1 points per game, while allowing 65.9 ppg, and shooting 44.3% from the floor.

Texas A&M has a real chance to upend Alabama atop the conference standings with a strong stay in Mississippi over the next five days. The Aggies are 13-2 in SEC play, with a 14-1 home record. Sophomore guard Wade Taylor IV has scored 21 points in four of the last five games, including a game-high 25 points in the win over Tennessee last time out, and he leads A&M in scoring (15.9) and assists (4.1). Senior guard Tyrece Radford joins him in the backcourt, and since going off for a career-best 30 points in the road win over Auburn, he’s second on the team with 13.3 ppg and 5.3 rpg. Former Wichita guard Dexter Dennis has double-doubled in two of the last three wins, and he’s averaging 8.9 ppg and 5 .6 rpg.
