The Tennessee Volunteers are now just a spot away from the top spot in the country and are right there in contention for an SEC title along with Alabama as the season rolls into the second half of conference play. After dropping a home game to Kentucky, the Volunteers have rattled off four straight wins including an 82-71 win over #10 Texas on Saturday. The victory over Texas marked the sixth win in Tennessee's last seven games against Top-10 opponents. Tennessee was led by Olivier Nkamhoua, who scored 27 points on an extremely efficient 12-of-15 shooting day. Nkamhoua also delivered eight rebounds and three assists in the win. Zakai Zeigler also had an outstanding game with 22 points, 10 assists, three rebounds and two steals. Zeigler went 3-of-6 from long range. For the game, the Volunteers shot 56% from the floor while holding Texas to just 44% shooting.

The Volunteers hope to make it five straight wins on Wednesday night and keep pace with Alabama. The Volunteers come in ranked sixth in the SEC in scoring offense. They are third in the conference in 3pt shooting and second in total rebounding. Tennessee is just seventh in the conference in fewest turnovers per game thus far.
