Tennessee Titans vs. Philadelphia Eagles Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 12-4-2022

The Tennessee Titans (7-4, 8-3, ATS, 3-8 O/U) collide with the Philadelphia Eagles (10-1, 6-5 ATS, 7-4 O/U) in an inter-conference showdown on Sunday afternoon. The Titans were dealt a home loss by the Bengals last week. The Eagles recorded a home win against the Packers on Sunday night. These foes last met in 2018 in a game the Titans won in overtime by a 26-23 score.

The Tennessee Titans enter this one looking to rebound from a home loss. They were one-point favorites in a 20-16 home defeat by the Bengals. It’s no cause for concern as they hold a comfortable lead atop the AFC South. The squad has been difficult to beat, winning seven out of their last nine clashes which includes a narrow overtime road loss to the Chiefs. The Titans have covered the spread in all but three games this season.

Ryan Tannehill resumed his productive season with 291 passing yards last week. The 34-year-old QB has recorded at least 255 passing yards in three consecutive performances and has collected a season total of 1976 passing yards accompanied by a 10:4 TD to INT ratio.

Derrick Henry has been kept in check recently. The star RB only accrued 53 yards against the Broncos and 38 yards last week. Hen ry is having an outstanding season, rushing for 1048 yards, leading the entire NFL. Robert Woods has only made a total of 10 catches in his last four games. The 30-year-old WR has posted 351 receiving yards. Treylon Burks is just behind Woods in team receiving with 334 receiving yards.  The Tennessee offense is relying on the running game but is not generating many points, scoring 19 or fewer points in five out of their last six clashes.

The Titans' defense has propelled many of the victories. They held the Colts to only 10 points, The Chiefs to 20, and the Packers to 17. The unit allowed 374 total yards last week. The pass defense can be an issue, ranking 31st but the rush defense is stellar, marking 3rd. Tennessee is posting an average of 19 points on the year, placing them 26th. They are allowing an average of only 18.6 points, placing them eighth in the league.
