The American League East second place Tampa Bay Rays (89-56, 2nd AL East) play the third and final game of a series on the road Wednesday against the American League Central leading Minnesota Twins (75-69, 1st AL Central). Tampa Bay defeated Minnesota in the opening game of their three game series on Monday 7-4. Tampa Bay has won four straight and six of the last seven. The Rays trail first place Baltimore by three games in the AL East but have a comfortable nine-game lead at the top of the AL wildcard race.
