The Tampa Bay Lightning face the Vancouver Canucks with both teams in the middle of promising seasons. The Lightning have a 13-11-5 record and are in the middle of the Atlantic Division. The Canucks have an 18-9-1 record and with back-to-back wins, they are in second place in the Pacific Division. The Lightning are having a great season with their offense leading the way, scoring 3.28 goals per game. Nikita Kucherov and Brayden Point have scored 31 goals and 47 assists to lead the top line but the rest of the offense has also stepped up. Steven Stamkos, Brandon Hagel, and Anthony Cirelli have combined for 27 goals and 40 assists while defensemen Victor Hedman and Mikhail Sergachev have added seven goals and 37 assists from the point to put the offense over the top.

The offense has been great but the defense has let the Lightning down, allowing 3.52 goals per game including eight goals in the last two games. Victor Hedman and Erik Cernak have combined for 2.4 defensive point shares but the rest of the unit has struggled, allowing opponents to find open shots on the net with ease.
