Victor Hedman and Ian Cole have combined for 4.2 defensive point shares and 113 blocked shots while Mikhail Sergachev, Nicklaus Perbix, and Erik Cernak have combined for 4.6 defensive point shares to add depth to the unit. In addition, goaltender Andrei Vasilevskiy has been great in the net with a .921 save per centage and a 2.42 goals-against average on 799 shots.
