The Tampa Bay Lightning has hit a rough patch with three straight losses heading into this game. On Thursday night, the Lightning was routed 7-2 by the Ottawa Senators on the road. Brayden Point and Mikhail Sergachev each scored in the one-sided loss while goalie Brian Elliott turned away 28-of-35 shots. The Lightning have now been outscored 15-6 during the three-game losing streak. The Lighting was outshot 35-29 in the game and went 1-4 on the power play.

“We’re having a bit of a bit of a tough stretch here, but it’s all self-inflicted,” coach John Cooper said. “I’m just not sure when they’re going to learn, but they’re learning tough lessons.”
