The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3-2, 2-3 ATS, 1-4 O/U) take on the Pittsburgh Steelers (1-4, 1-3-1 ATS, 2-3 O/U) and an inter-conference battle on Sunday afternoon. The Buccaneers held on for a narrow home win against the Falcons last week. The Steelers were dominated by the Bills in their previous action. These foes last met in 2018 in a game the Steelers won by a 30-27 score.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are on the road for the third time of the season in this one. They have yet to lose on the road, defeating the Cowboys and Saints. Tampa Bay lost two straight home bouts against the Packers and Chiefs and rebounded with a 21-15 home win against the Falcons last week but didn’t cover the large 9.5-point spread. The Buccaneers were up 21-0 in the win. They have not covered the spread in three straight games.

Tom Brady continues to post big numbers. The 45-year-old future Hall of Famer has eclipsed 300 passing yards in back-to-back games and now has accrued 1409 passing yards complemented by a stellar 7:1 TD to INT ratio. Brady has connected on 68% of his pass attempts.

The Buccaneers do not run very often. They only attempted 23 rushes for 69 y ards last week. Leonard Fournette had 127 rushing yards in the season opener but has been quiet since and has accrued 280 rushing yards on 3.8 yards per rush. Mike Evans brought in 81 receiving yards last week. The 29-year-old star WR now has 316 receiving yards in four games. The Tampa Bay offense was mediocre in the first three games but is finding a groove, scoring 31 points two weeks ago and recorded 420 total yards against the Falcons.

The Buccaneers defense has definitely been their top strength this season. The only team that exploited them was the Chiefs. They contained the Packers and held the Falcons to only 261 total yards. The pass defense ranks sixth while the rush defense is 18th. Tampa Bay is scoring an average of 20.6 points, landing them 19th overall. The defense is limiting foes to only 16.6 points, good for sixth in the NFL.
