The quarterback’s been away from the franchise for more than a week and head coach Todd Bowles wasn’t ready to issue a return date for last year’s passing leader in Thursday’s media session, delaying the timetable until at least after the team’s Week 2 preseason game against the Titans.
Brady’s hiatus was premeditated, but it’s unusual.
He has never taken this much time away from his team this close to the regular season, which comes during a stretch in which Tampa Bay's offensive outlook is far from sunny just weeks out from the Cowboys opener.
