Take New Mexico As A Sleeper To Win The Mountain West Regular Season Title

The Lobos are currently +1200 to win the conference's regular season title

For the most part, the conference winners in the SEC, Big Ten and American are all decided with Alabama, Purdue and Houston set to take home their respective regular season titles, barring an epic collapse. The race in the Pac-12, Big East and Mountain West are much tighter. So today, we're going to focus on the Mountain West and see if there are any teams that qualify as sleepers to win the conference's regular season title.

The first team that sticks out to me is New Mexico at +1200. With those odds, and a 6-3 record in conference play, the Lobos are in a prime spot to offer a big payout at the end of the regular season.
