The Notre Dame Fighting Irish (4-3) visit the No. 16 Syracuse Orange (6-1) at the JMA Wireless Dome on Saturday, October 29, 2022.

In their last outing, the Orange fell to the Clemson Tigers 27-21. The Fighting Irish’s most recent outing finished in a 44-21 win over the UNLV Rebels. Against the Tigers, Garrett Shrader led the Orange with 167 yards on 18-of-26 passing (69.2%) for one touchdown and one interception. He also carried the ball 21 times for 71 yards and one rushing touchdown. Sean Tucker totaled 54 rushing yards on five carries (10.8 yards per carry). He also had five catches for 18 yards and one touchdown. Oronde Gadsden II totaled six receptions for 86 yards (averaging 14.3 per catch) against the Tigers. Drew Pyne’s showing for the Irish against the Rebels included 14-of-28 passing for 205 yards, two touchdowns and one interception. He rushed three times for 30 yards. Logan Diggs put together a 28-carry, 130-yard game (4.6 yards per attempt). Michael Mayer collected six catches for 115 yards (on 12 targets), with one touchdown.

The Orange are the favorite (-3) against the Fighting Irish. The total is set at 47 points.
