Syracuse at UCONN 9/10/22 College Football Picks and Prediction

The Syracuse Orange and UConn Huskies face off on Saturday in a Week 2 college football showdown Rentschler Field.

There were a ton of questions surrounding Syracuse heading into the season but they sure looked impressive in the first game. The Orange faced off against the Louisville Cardinals and they were able to secure the 31-7 victory. The offense looked good, but more impressive was the defense which only gave up seven points. Under center for Syracuse is Garrett Shrader and he completed 18 of his 25 passes for 237 yards and two touchdowns. Running back Sean Tucker had a big game finishing with 21 carries for 98 yards and a touchdown.

On the other side of this matchup is the UConn Huskies who have played two games so far this season and they sit with a 1-1 record. In the first game, they lost to Utah State 31-20 but in the last game against Central Connecticut State, they won 28-3. Under center in the last game was Zion Turner and he completed 14 of his 22 passes for 172 yards, two touchdowns, and one interception. Nathan Carter had a big game on the ground rushing 23 times for 123 yards and a touchdown. In the first game the offense played well early, but quickly fell off and they need a full 60 minutes of football.
