The Phoenix Suns pay a visit to the Dallas Mavericks at the American Airlines Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Phoenix Suns have been in fine form as they’ve won eight of their last 11 games overall and they will be aiming for a third straight victory after routing the Bulls in a 125-104 road win on Friday. Devin Booker led the team with 35 points and six assists, Josh Okogie added 25 points while Kevin Durant chipped in with 20 points, nine rebounds and six assists on seven of 10 shooting. As a team, the Suns shot 50 percent from the field and 20 of 47 from the 3-point line as they squandered an early 11-point lead to trail going into halftime, before they dominated the second half by 65-40 to make it look easy in the end.
Meanwhile, the Dallas Mavericks have been in a funk as they’ve lost five of their last seven games overall, but they will be eager to build some momentum in this one after taking down the 76ers in a 133-126 home win on Thursday. Luka Doncic led the team with 42 points and 12 assists on 13 of 22 shooting, Kyrie Irving added 40 points on 15 of 22 shooting while Reggie Bullock chipped in with 15 points. As a team, the Mavericks shot 54 percent from the field and a sizzling 25 of 48 from the 3-point line as they set the tone with 38 points in the first quarter to take the early lead, before they exploded for 39 points in the third quarter to push the lead out to 25 points to put the game to bed early.
