Steelers vs. Ravens Prediction, Pick & Odds Week 18: Will Baltimore's Backups Play Spoiler?
Steelers vs. Ravens Prediction, Pick & Odds Week 18: Will Baltimore's Backups Play Spoiler?iv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

The Baltimore Ravens' only motivation in Week 18 will be to play spoilers against the Pittsburgh Steelers, and we have you covered with our Steelers vs. Ravens prediction based on the best NFL odds.

Baltimore has nothing to gain with a Week 18 win, as it already clinched the No. 1 seed in the AFC thanks to its 13-3 record. However, the Ravens may be motivated by the idea that they can deliver the final blow to the Steelers' playoff chances.

Standing opposite Pittsburgh will be Baltimore's backups, with the usual starters resting ahead of the postseason.

Can the Steelers overcome the Ravens' group of reserves, or will this division rivalry game end in heartbreak for an inconsistent Pittsburgh team?

In addition to our NFL Week 18 predictions and NFL Week 18 player props, and to accompany our Steelers vs. Ravens NFL player pr ops, here are our best Steelers vs. Ravens prediction and our NFL picks (odds via our best NFL betting sites; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Steelers vs. Ravens prediction

In 2019, the Ravens faced a similar scenario to this one, opting to rest numerous key players during a non-essential game in Week 18. This decision led to a two-week break before Baltimore's subsequent divisional-round defeat to the Tennessee Titans.

Ravens head coach John Harbaugh has recently admitted that they think about that upset all the time, and how they handled the multi-week break. Quarterback Lamar Jackson, who is on his way to a second MVP award, has also talked about how he was affected by the multi-week break.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see some early reps from the key starters, particularly since injuries are impacting the current rotation. That won't include J ackson, who has already been listed out for this game. But backup QB Tyler Huntley has proven he's more than serviceable when filling in for No. 8 these last two seasons.

The Steelers have won back-to-back games, including a 30-23 road win over the Seattle Seahawks last weekend. But the market might have overreacted by putting Pittsburgh as more than a field-goal favorite, particularly given the tough travel assignment for Mike Tomlin's team.

As long as we are getting more than a field goal with the Ravens at home, we like the idea of backing this team as a potential spoiler in Week 18.

S teelers vs. Ravens best odds

DraftKings FanDuel BetMGM Caesars bet365
Ravens +3.5 Ravens +3.5 Ravens +3.5 Ravens +3.5 Ravens +3.5
-112 -110 -110 -110 -110

You can get -110 odds on +3.5 at four of our best sports betting apps, but we are placing this at FanDuel due to the same-game parlay options at that shop. As long as you avoid DraftKings and its -112 value on the same spread, that is all that really matters.

We would not take this spread at anything lower than +3.5, as 3 is a key number when betting a NFL side. There is a chance this number does get better once there is more information about Baltimore's personnel plan.

Steelers vs. Ravens odds

Steelers vs. Ravens odds analysis< /h2>

The lookahead markets made the Ravens 1.5-point favorites, but the spread flipped in favor of the Steelers once the best sportsbooks released the lines again this week. Pittsburgh is trading as a 3.5-point favorite as of this writing.

As for the total, the line started as high as 38 and has dropped to 36 and 36.5 as we get closer to kickoff. The low total is certainly appealing for our bet on the home underdogs.
