Stars vs. Blues Predictions, Picks & Odds: Dallas Still Battling for Division Titleiv class=”bodyContent col-lg-9 mb-3″>

The Dallas Stars are still in the hunt for the Central Division title while the St. Louis Blues look to play spoiler at home. Read on for our best Stars vs. Blues prediction based on the best NHL odds.

Just one point separates the Colorado Avalanche and Dallas Stars atop the Central Division with two games remaining.

Dallas has a chance to put the pressure on the reigning Stanley Cup champions with a win Wednesday as the Stars and St. Louis Blues face off for the first of a home-and-home to close out the season.

Here is our best Stars vs. Blues NHL prediction (odds via DraftKings Sportsbook; pick confidence based on a 1-to-5-star scale).

Stars vs. Blues prediction

Dallas comes into this game riding a four-game winning streak while allowing just one goal in each of those contests. The Stars are getting hot at the right time ahead of the playoffs.

St. Louis, on the other hand, raised the white flag on their season in February by trading away Vladimir Tarasenko and Ryan O'Reilly to playoff-bound teams. The Blues recently beat the Philadelphia Flyers and New York Rangers, but they've still lost four of their last seven games.

Jake Oettinger (36-11-11, 2.41 GAA, .918 SV%) is likely to get the start for Dallas while youngster Joel Hofer (3-0-1, 2.79 GAA, .915 SV%) is confirmed to start for St. Louis in its final home game of the season. Hofer had a .918 SV% and 2.57 GAA in 45 AHL games this season.

The Under 6 opened at +100 and remains there at most books, but DraftKings is offering five cents of value. Given the goaltending matchup and recent history between these two clubs – the last five meetings have gone under the total – the +105 is the play her e.

Under 6 Under 6.5 Under 6 Under 6 Under 6
+105 -122 +100 +100 +100

The total has remained at six across the board except for FanDuel where you can get Under 6.5 at -122. That's not a bad option if you're worried about a push here in a 4-2 game, but the better play here seems to be the Under 6.

This morning's confirmation of Hofer starting could have an impact on the total as well. Despite his inexperience, he's played much better than Jordan Binnington this season.

Stars vs. Blues odds analysis

The Stars opened as -165 favorites and are around there across the board. FanDuel is now offering the best line on Dallas at -160 and that could go back up to -165 or higher with two-thirds of the wagers on the Stars thus far.
