Week 4 of the 2022 NCAA college football season includes a Pac-12 battle between the Stanford Cardinal and Washington Huskies. The Cardinal enter off a bye week following a home loss to USC, while the undefeated Huskies open Pac-12 play rated No. 18 in the AP Poll.

The home standing Huskies beat Stanford last season 20-13 but lost as a double-digit favorite at home to Stanford 31-26 in 2020.

Stanford vs Washington Prediction & Pick

The Huskies are 3-0 under first year head coach Kalen DeBoer after throttling Michigan State 3 9-28. The Spartans scored a pair of late TDs to make the score respectable. Washington has out-gained three opponents by a net +283 yards per game after Indiana transfer QB Michael Penix, Jr. passed for 397 yards and 4 TDs versus the Spartans.

Stanford is better this year after getting out-gained by 157 yards per game in Pac-12 play last season. But the Cardinal still have a weaker defensive front seven, and Washington may well run and pass for at least 200 yards each in another double-digit win.

Final Score Prediction:'Washington: 34 | Stanford: 17

Stanford vs Washington Best Bet

The Cardinal were actually competitive in a 41-28 home loss vs USC two weeks ago and managed to both run and pass for 220 yards while racking up 33 first downs vs the now No. 7 ranked Trojans. Quarterback Tanner Mc Kee is an accurate enough passer, but the Cardinal will need the running game balance to keep the Huskies offense on the sidelines.

Stanford fumbled the ball away six times in their first two games, and gave up nine turnovers in all. A few more turnovers and it could be even more one-sided against a Huskies offense that is fourth in the nation in yards, sixth in scoring with QB Penix passing for nearly 1,100 yards with 10 touchdowns.

Is this the week Stanford gets the money for the first time in their last 10 games? I wouldn't bet on it.
