Stanford Cardinal (11-15) vs. USC Trojans (18-8)
Week 15 of the 2022-23 NCAA men’s basketball season is in full swing on Saturday, February 18, 2023, as the Stanford Cardinal take on the USC Trojans in this Pacific-12 clash at the Alaska Airlines Arena at Hec Edmundson Pavilion in Seattle, Washington.
This is the first meeting between these teams this season. Stanford won both games last season and they were the underdog in both games. The Trojans are favored by 6.0 in this game with the total set at 141.5.
The Stanford Cardinal (11-15, 13-13-0 ATS) took a four-point lead over UCLA looking for the upset heading into the half, but the Bruins used a 16-4 run coming out of the break to beat Stanford, 73-64. The loss dropped the Cardinal to 5-10 in the PAC-12 and they are 1-6 on the road. The Cardinal are 7-3 ATS in their last 10.
Things were going well for Stanford heading into the break, but that early second-half surge was too much for the Cardinal to overcome. It did not help that the team hit just two free-throw attempts in the game while the Bruins hit 16. Stanford shot 50.0% in the contest. Michael Jones came off the bench to lead the team with 15 points.

The Cardinal are 95th in the KenPom power rankings. The team is averaging 111.8 points per 100 possessions (58th) and is allowing 104.1 points per 100 possessions (142nd). This is not a very good Stanford offense, averaging 69.0 points per game and they are allowing 67.1 points per contest, 107th in the nation.
