Stanford Cardinal (10-12) vs. Colorado Buffaloes (13-11)
Week 13 of the 2022-23 NCAA men’s basketball season wraps up Sunday, February 5, with the Stanford Cardinal taking on the Colorado Buffaloes in the Pac-12 Conference showdown at CU Events Center in Boulder, Colorado.
The Cardinal meet the Buffaloes for the second time this season. Back in December, Colorado outlasted Stanford 73-70 as a 2.5-point road underdog, and the game went over a 138.5-point line. The Buffaloes are 5.5-point home favorites this time around, while the totals sit at 137.5 points.
The Stanford Cardinal (10-12; 11-11 ATS; 4-7 conf.) put an end to their five-game losing streak with a 67-46 thrashing of Oregon State on January 19. Since then, the Cardinal have won four straight contests, outlasting Oregon 71-64, Chicago State 72-65, California 75-46, and Utah 78-72. Last Thursday, Stanford upset the Utes as 5.5-point road underdogs, going 10-for-18 from beyond the 3-point line.
The Cardinal made 53.1% of their field goals against the Utes, who rank 30th in the country in adjusted defensive efficiency. Stanford posted a nice 19/12 assist-to-turnover ratio, and senior forward Spencer Jones led the way with 22 points, five rebounds, and a couple of assists and steals. Senior guard Michael Jones had 15 points and four dishes, while junior forward Brando n Angel and junior guard Michael O’Connell accounted for 11 points apiece.

Stanford is No. 104 in the NCAA NET Rankings and No. 91 in the KenPom rankings. The Cardinal score 110.3 points per 100 possessions (78th in the country) on 51.6% shooting from inside the arc (152nd) and 33.3% from downtown (234th). They allow 102.6 points in return (121st) on 49.6% shooting from inside the arc (193rd) and 34.4% from beyond the 3-point line (241st). Per Bart Torvik, Stanford ranks 32nd in the nation in defensive rebound percentage (75.4%) and 72nd in offensive rebound percentage (32.3%).
