The Stanford Cardinal and the Wisconsin Badgers will meet at American Family in Milwaukee this Friday night on FS1.
Stanford started the 2021-22 season with a win over Pacific Monday afternoon. The Cardinal and the Tigers competed in one of the first games of the season, and the host evaded with a 10-point win after holding off a fierce rally. Jerod Haase’s team shot an impressive 60% from the field, but they missed 12 free throws.
Michael Jones’ arrival from Davidson paid dividends early. The 6’5 guard lit up Pacific with 31 points on an efficient 9-15 clip. Jones figures to have a big role this season, and he might end up being the guy for Stanford. Last year’s leading scorer Harrison Ingram posted a solid like of seven points, six boards, and six assists.
