A pair of teams from the Atlantic 10 meet on the hardwood in the Old Dominion in a conference matchup looking to earn a victory. The Saint Louis Billikens are on the road as they make the trek east to take on the Richmond Spiders Tuesday night. Saint Louis earned a 90-85 home win over Duquesne in their previous contest Saturday, pushing against the spread as a five-point favorite. Richmond was beaten 68-62 by La Salle on the road Wednesday in their last game, losing outright as a 1.5-point favorite. In the all-time series between the teams, the Billikens own a 13-9 advantage but it was the Spiders taking a 68-66 victory at home in the most recent meeting February 25, 2022. That snapped a four-game Saint Louis win streak in the series.

Saint Louis won their second straight after dropping three of four as they took down Duquesne at home in a high-scoring contest Saturday. The Billikens improved to 18-9 overall on the season and stand tied for second in the Atlantic 10 with a 10-4 mark in conference play, one game behind VCU. Against Duquesne, Saint Louis gave up a 15-0 run in the opening half to trail by as many as 14 only to cut the deficit to two at intermission. In the second half, Saint Louis took control of the game, opening a 14-point lead of their own at 80-66 with 5:42 remaining. The Billikens let the Dukes climb within three on multiple occasions, the last at 88-85 with 16 seconds to play, but hung on for the win. Saint Louis shot 58.7% from the field, though they were just one of six from three-point range, and misfired on 10 of their 25 free throw attempts. Gibson Jimerson led the Billikens with 28 points in the win.

The Billikens are 88th in the nation in scoring offense as they put up 75.6 points per game this season. Saint Louis stands 22nd in rebounding by collecting 38.6 boards a night while the team is 20th with 16.1 assists per contest. The Billikens are 224th in the nation in scoring defense by holding opposing teams to 71.1 points per game. Gibson Jimerson leads the team with 14 points per game on the year. Yuri Collins (11.7 points, 3.4 rebounds, 9.9 assists) is one of three other players averaging in double figures this season. Javonte Perkins (10.3 points) and Javon Pickett (10 points) are good secondary scoring options as well. Francis Okoro, Jake Forrester, Fred Thatch Jr., Sincere Parker, Terrence Hargrove Jr. and Larry Hughes Jr. each are solid contributors on the offensive end of the floor. The Billikens shoot 46.4% from the field as a team this season. Saint Louis knocks down an average of 6.9 three-pointers a night while sinking 35.1% o f their attempts from beyond the arc. The Billikens are shooting a solid 73.1% at the charity stripe this season.
