The St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers renew acquaintances on Tuesday night in the start of another short two-game series in Milwaukee. The Cardinals magic number to clinch the NL Central division is down to three games. The Brewers are one and a half games behind the Phillies for the final wildcard spot. The pitching matchup for Tuesday night will be Miles Mikolas (11-13, 3.35) of the Cardinals taking on Adrian Houser (6-9, 4.62) of the Brewers. First pitch is scheduled for 7:40pm EST.
The Cardinals come into this second two-game series with the Brewers in two weeks with a chance to wrap up the division crown. With a magic number of just three games, a sweep would seal the deal for the Cardinals. With Cardinals-legend Albert Pujols reaching the 700 home run mark last week, the Cardinals can now focus on gearing up for the 2022 playoffs.
