St. Louis Cardinals vs. Milwaukee Brewers Prediction, Preview, and Odds – 9-27-2022

The St. Louis Cardinals and Milwaukee Brewers renew acquaintances on Tuesday night in the start of another short two-game series in Milwaukee. The Cardinals magic number to clinch the NL Central division is down to three games. The Brewers are one and a half games behind the Phillies for the final wildcard spot. The pitching matchup for Tuesday night will be Miles Mikolas (11-13, 3.35) of the Cardinals taking on Adrian Houser (6-9, 4.62) of the Brewers. First pitch is scheduled for 7:40pm EST.

The Cardinals come into this second two-game series with the Brewers in two weeks with a chance to wrap up the division crown. With a magic number of just three games, a sweep would seal the deal for the Cardinals. With Cardinals-legend Albert Pujols reaching the 700 home run mark last week, the Cardinals can now focus on gearing up for the 2022 playoffs.

On the mound on Tuesday night will be veteran right-hander Miles Mikolas. Mikolas has an ERA of 3.38 in his last five starts and a 1-3 record. Mikolas is 2-2 in four starts against the Brewers this year with an ERA of 2.71. He has allowed 20 hits in 26.2 innings of work and has a 7.43 K/9 rate.
