The St. Louis Cardinals go back on the road Tuesday night for game two of three against the Colorado Rockies. The Cardinals come into Tuesday 12 games above .500 riding a 7 game win streak following a sweep of the New York Yankees. Adam Wainwright got the start for the Cardinals against New York giving up six runs on eight hits leading to a no decision. Chris Stratton came on in relief to allow two runs on six hits to pick up the victory.
Offensively St. Louis was dominant in the game with 11 hits in 34 at bats including 6-13 with runners in scoring position to score 12 runs. Nolan Arenado Led the way for St. Louis with three hits in five at bats including a three run home run to drive in four total runs. Paul DeJong Chipped in as well going 2-3 on the day to drive in four runs as well.
The Colorado Rockies return home Tuesday struggling this year 15 games below .500 after losing three of the last five games played. Jose Urena took the mound for Colorado giving up three runs on seven hits across six innings leading to a no decision. The Colorado bullpen held true before Alex Colome came on in relief allowing two runs on one hit leading to the loss.
