Once Upon A Time In Las Vegas – Championship Sunday

WINNING IS EASY WHEN YOU HAVE THE BEST PICKS

Our winning run of two straight best bet victories was snapped when Detroit and Brooklyn combined to score 252 points to easily finish over the 233.5 closing line. However, Saturday starts the NFL conference title weekend and our NBA over/under pick is a sure winner as we prepare for Sunday’s two NFL picks that will also be winners.

We have a Central Division matchup between the St. Louis Blues and the Colorado Avalanche on Saturday afternoon at Ball Arena. The Blues are stagnant a bit as they are sixth in the Central Division (23-23-3, 49 points) and are riding a three-game losing streak after a 5-0 road loss on Thursday against t he Arizona Coyotes. The Avalanche are fourth in the Central Division (26-18-3, 55 points) and are coming off a 5-3 home loss on Thursday against the Anaheim Ducks. This will be the third of four games against one another as they split the first two games.

The St. Louis Blues have been playing at an average level and are coming off a 5-0road loss against the Arizona Coyotes last time out. Center Jordan Kyrou led the team as he was able to attempt six shots. As a team, they did not score on 33 shots and did a great job as they won 56.6 percent of their faceoffs. They were also 0-for-3 on power play attempts. Defensively, they did okay as they allowed one goal on a pair of power play opportunities. Thomas Griess had an awful game as they allowed five goals on just 25 shots.

This offense has been decent this season as they are 18th in the NHL with 152 goals scored thus far. They have a bunch of players stepping up, including center Jordan Kyrou as he has 46 points (23 goals, 23 assists) and has scored four points in his last four games. Defensively, they are also struggling as they are 27th in the league with 177 goals conceded as well. They have a roster that is better than what they have been showing statistically so they have a lot of room to improve.
