The Carolina Hurricanes (37-10-8, 82 points) host the St. Louis Blues (26-27-3, 55 points) inside PNC Arena on Tuesday. The puck drops at 7:00 p.m. ET. Carolina is -345 on the moneyline, and the over/under is set at 6.5. The Hurricanes defeated St. Louis earlier this season, 6-4, on Dec. 1.

St. Louis lost both games of a back-to-back over the weekend, falling 4-1 to Colorado on Saturday before hitting the road for a 7-2 defeat at Washington on Sunday. Both of St. Louis's goals came in the third period when the game was already in hand. Colton Parayko got the Blues on the board with unassisted goal, and Tyler Pitlick cut it to 6-2 two minutes later. It was the third goal on the season for each player.

St. Louis may be forced to rely more on players like Parayko and Pitlick for the forseeable future because of injuries to two of their top goal scorers. The Blues were without Pavel Buchnevich and Brandon Saad on Sunday, and they could both miss Tuesday's game as well. St. Louis placed Saad on injured reserve on Thursday with an upper body injury. He will miss at least a week. Buchnevich missed Saturday's game with a lower body injury and is listed as day-to-day. They have combined for 31 goals this season. The team also traded its former captain, Ryan O'Reilly, and Noel Acciari on Friday.

The Blues still have their leading point-getter, Jordan Kyrou, in the lineup though. He leads the team with 25 goals and 54 points. Robert Thomas is the leading assist man this season with 35.

As a team, St. Louis ranks 19th in the NHL with 3.07 goals per game, and 28th with 28.9 shots per game. The Blues allow 3.64 g oals per game, which is 27th. They only average 7.4 penalty minutes, with ranks second.

Jordan Binnington is expected to be in goal on Tuesday for St. Louis. He is 21-19-3 with a .893 save percentage and 3.27 goals allowed. Binnington last played on Saturday, when he allowed four goals to Colorado and made 29 saves.

The Blues are 13-13-1 on the road this season.
