The St. Bonaventure Bonnies will take on the Duquesne Dukes Saturday at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse. Tip-off from Pittsburgh, PA, is at 12:30 p.m. ET.

St. Bonaventure, 13-12 SU and 15-10 ATS, lost 76-70 to La Salle on Wednesday. The Bonnies are 3-2 in their past five and 7-5 in Atlantic 10 competition.

Duquesne, 16-8 SU and 14-10 ATS, beat George Mason 75-52 on Wednesday. The Dukes are 3-2 in their past five and 6-5 in A-10 play.

St. Bonaventure beat Duquesne 65-56 on Jan. 18. The Bonnies held the Dukes to 35 percent shooting, including 6-for-22 (27.3%) from three-point range. They led by as many as 20 points and never trailed in the game. St. Bonaventure leads the series 69-56 since the 1949-50 season.

 

St. Bonaventure is just two games out of first place in the A-10, with six games left to make up ground in the standings. At 13-12 overall, a strong finish will ensure an eleventh consecutive winning season.

The Bonnies lost a close game at home to the Explorers in their last game. La Salle shot over 50 percent from the field and won the rebounding battle 34-27. St. Bonaventure was 27-for-57 from the field, including 7-for-21 from distance.

St. Bonaventure scores 67.0 points per game (297th) and shoots 42.6 percent (283rd), including 35.3 percent from deep (127th). It converts 70.2 percent of its free throws (231st) and averages 30.1 rebounds (273rd) with a -1.1 rebounding margin. Junior guard Daryl Banks III paces St. Bonaventure with 15.4 points on 36.4 percent shooting. Other players to watch are sophomore guard Kyrell Luc (12.1 PPG and 4.4 APG), sophomore forward Chad Venning (12.0 PPG and 5.4 RPG), and freshman forward Yann Farell (9.1 PPG and 6.4 RPG).
